DARRINGTON, Wash. (AP) - Authorities in Washington state say seven people who inhaled an unknown white smoke have been taken to a hospital with serious breathing problems.
Snohomish County Fire District 24 Commissioner Dennis Vincent says the smoke came from a trash bin when it was dumped Thursday morning into a garbage truck near City Hall in Darrington.
Vincent says seven people needed help breathing as they were taken to a hospital in Arlington.
