新华社合肥8月9日电　2012年8月9日，安徽省合肥市中级人民法院一审公开开庭审理了被告人薄谷开来、张晓军故意杀人案。

合肥市人民检察院于2012年7月26日向合肥市中级人民法院提起公诉，指控被告人薄谷开来及其子薄某某与被害人尼尔·伍德因经济利益发生矛盾，薄谷开来认为尼尔·伍德已威胁到其子薄某某的人身安全，决意将其杀死，遂安排重庆市委办公厅工作人员、同案被告人张晓军邀约并陪同尼尔·伍德从北京到重庆。2011年11月13日晚，薄谷开来到尼尔·伍德所住的重庆市南山丽景度假酒店16栋1605室与其饮酒、喝茶，趁尼尔·伍德醉酒呕吐后要喝水之机，将事先准备并交给张晓军携带的毒药倒入尼尔·伍德口中，致尼尔·伍德死亡。

合肥市人民检察院认为，被告人薄谷开来、张晓军采取投毒手段杀人，犯罪事实清楚，证据确实充分，其行为触犯了《中华人民共和国刑法》第二百三十二条的规定，应当以故意杀人罪追究其刑事责任。本案是共同犯罪，薄谷开来是主犯，张晓军是从犯。

合肥市中级人民法院根据最高人民法院指定管辖决定书立案受理此案后，及时向被告人薄谷开来、张晓军送达了起诉书副本，并向二被告人及被害人近亲属告知了相关诉讼权利和义务，通知律师会见和查阅全案卷宗，充分保障了薄谷开来、张晓军及被害人近亲属的诉讼权利。经庭前通知和公告等法定程序，合肥市中级人民法院于8月9日公开开庭审理。

法庭上，检察机关出示了有关证据，鉴定人出庭作证，薄谷开来、张晓军自行委托的律师分别为二人进行了辩护，被害人尼尔·伍德近亲属委托的诉讼代理人到庭参加诉讼并发表了意见。被告人薄谷开来、张晓军及被害人尼尔·伍德的部分亲友、英国驻华使领馆官员、媒体记者、人大代表、政协委员及各界群众140余人旁听了庭审。

庭审结束后法庭宣布休庭，择期宣判。

据悉，2012年7月30日，重庆市公安局原副局长郭维国、重庆市公安局刑警总队原总队长李阳、重庆市公安局技术侦查总队原总队长兼渝北区公安分局原局长王鹏飞、重庆市公安局沙坪坝区公安分局原常务副局长王智因涉嫌在办理尼尔·伍德死亡案件中包庇薄谷开来，使其不被刑事追究，被合肥市人民检察院以徇私枉法罪提起公诉，合肥市中级人民法院将于8月10日公开开庭审理。
