8月11日上午，网友费煜昱在新浪微博上传了一段视频，内容为陆剑波持刀袭击他母亲的监控画面。费煜昱写道，“求关注！持刀者是江苏靖江市公安局陆胜民之子、市政府公务员陆剑波”。截至发稿，这条微博已被转发六千余次。当地两家电视台证实视频的真实性，靖江市公安局的官方微博则证实陆剑波是该局副政委陆胜民之子，陆剑波已“在城东派出所接受调查”。
一些不知情的网友在转发这段视频时称，事情起因是陆剑波“当街对刘某女孩非礼，遭女孩反抗，一气之下从车上拿出砍刀连砍刘某34刀”。对此，靖江警方与伤者家属均予以否认。警方称，实情是陆胜民之妻缪某与邻居臧某因琐事争吵，“并互相殴打”。此时，缪某之子陆剑波回家，“见状即从车中取刀将臧戳伤”。伤者家属则表示，“琐事”实际上是陆剑波家的别墅违建，私自搭建车库，引发双方口角。据南都记者了解，陆剑波现任靖江东兴镇党委宣传委员、统战委员。
两家人还是亲戚
这段引起众多网友转发的视频只有约2分钟，开始时间显示为2012年8月10日19时50分。画面中，一名穿白色衬衣的男子正持刀袭击一名倒地女子，女子挣扎起来后被人掩护回到屋内。男子随后边叫嚷边踹门，并用刀通过缝隙往里面捅，画面中，白衣男子离开后又两次返回踹门，地上可见女子的血迹。
“当时被吓坏了！”15岁的费煜昱昨日对南都记者说。他表示，案发时他也在家，“全看到了，满眼血腥”。费煜昱的微博上还发布了多张照片，照片显示，他母亲手上和腿上都有大量血迹。
费煜昱对南都记者说，事发当晚，陆剑波母亲和费煜昱母亲发生了争吵，随后陆剑波持刀袭击了费煜昱的母亲，袭击过程被他家的监控器拍了下来。靖江市公安局的官方微博“靖江公安”在11日下午证实这一细节，“靖江公安”称，8月10日19时30分左右，市公安局副政委陆胜民之妻缪某与邻居臧某因琐事争吵，“并互相殴打”。此时，缪某之子陆剑波回家，“见状即从车中取刀将臧戳伤”。
费煜昱说，陆家和他们家同住在靖江闸南公寓，两家还是亲戚，陆剑波一家5口人一起住在小区里一栋约500平米的三层别墅中。据网上的中介信息，该小区相同面积别墅市值约300多万元。费煜昱告诉南都记者，两家人吵架的原因是陆剑波家的别墅违建，私自搭造车库，并侵占小区公共绿地，“他妈妈和我们整个小区的人都吵过架，以为自己家是当官的就很了不起”。
费煜昱父亲在接受泰州电视台采访时，也称双方矛盾是陆剑波家的违建，“小区里面大家都反对”。
行凶者确系公安局副政委之子
在费煜昱的微博引起广泛关注后，靖江公安在8月11日16时54分通过两条微博回应此事，并转发给了费煜昱。除上述案情通报外，靖江公安微博还称“缪某(陆剑波母亲)与臧某(费煜昱母亲)均在医院接受治疗，臧某左手拇指处肌腱及神经断裂，已进行手术。”
南都记者8月12日下午联系陆剑波接受调查的靖江城东派出所，民警未透露案件最新调查情况，靖江市公安局接警台对南都记者称市局正在调查此事。
靖江公安微博的回应除了证实陆剑波为靖江公安局副政委之子外，没有提及陆剑波的身份。当地一家电视台称，陆剑波是当地政府公务员。根据南都记者查证，靖江市政府网站一则今年1月的《领导干部任职前公示》称，1982年出生的陆剑波“现任团市委青工部部长，拟任东兴镇党委宣传委员、统战委员”。
今年6月，靖江市政府网站一则东兴党政领导分工通知中则称，“陆剑波同志负责意识形态、宣传、文化、统战、民族宗教工作，协助分管农业农村工作。”此外，根据靖江政府网站上的文件，陆剑波还任东兴镇预防职务犯罪工作领导小组成员、镇创先争优活动领导办公室副主任、社区教育工作领导小组成员等。

“跟老子干，我要你的命”
费煜昱对南都记者称，陆剑波在袭击中曾喊，“公安局是我家开的”、“杀死人没问题！”费煜昱的舅舅臧先生也对南都记者确认陆剑波说过此话，并称110到场后，围观者也对警方描述了这一细节。
根据家属提供的一段视频，民警出警后，多名群众对家属的摄像机讲述案情，其中一名围观者说，“公安局是他家开的”。另一名曾在现场劝架的群众在接受泰州电视台采访时也说，陆剑波当时曾说“跟老子干，我要你的命”。泰州电视台节目称，费煜昱母亲臧女士手上和腿上多处受伤，送往靖江一医院后，因伤势过重又被转往无锡。臧女士的丈夫说，“医生说的这个手血管总筋全断了，肌腱全部断了，不保证能好”。
费煜昱也告诉南都记者，由于靖江市人民医院做不了手部接血管、神经的手术，臧女士转院到无锡第九人民医院，“到无锡的时候我妈的血筋已萎缩进去了”。会否痊愈，费煜昱说，“还要看恢复情况”。
