In 2003, when I went to Hamburg Germany as a trainee lawyer, most of the foreigners I met knew nothing about one of the biggest Chinese city, Tianjin. When they got an overview about it from my introduction, they were all surprised and interested in the six hundred years old city.

With the 2008 Summer DAVOS World Economic Forum held in Tianjin, it is acknowledged as the coastal opening-up city and the next growth engine of China both at home and abroad.

Tianjin is located at the center of the Bohai Bay, the biggest coastal opening-up city in north China, covering an area of 11,919.7 SK.

The Central Government of China and the State Council have made important strategic planning to push forward the development of the Tianjin Binhai New Area it will be a wonderful challenge for the city evolved in the global economy after Shenzhen city and Pudong area.

Tianjin Binhai New Area will focus on financial, high technology, shipping and manufacturing.

Although after the American sub-prime crisis being evolved into international financial crisis, the worsening financial crisis has produced a broad and deep impact on world economy. It also gave us a good opportunity to learn more about the area of the financial and industry development to avoid over-investment bubble.

For many Chinese enterprises, it is a good chance to invite direct investment, or mergers and acquisitions.
